Our office is open Monday-Friday 9am to 5pm. We have licensed medical assistants, medical billers, and other support staff to assist you with all your office needs. Please give us a call. We look forward to meeting you.
In the event of a life threatening medical emergency, call emergency medical services at 911 immediately. DO NOT WAIT! Inform the emergency room staff that you are a patient of Dr. Bacchus and they will contact us.
If you are an existing patient and have an urgent medical need, please call 310-895-2541. A provider is on call 24 hours a day. Your call will be returned promptly.
We accept most private PPO insurance plans including Aetna, Anthem and Blue Cross Blue Shield . If your insurance is out of our network; don't worry. We will provide you with a superbill after every appointment that can easily be sent on any device for insurance reimbursement to you.
Submitted insurance claims are generally reimbursed in 2-4 weeks:
- 60 minute visit: expect 50-60% of $500 charge reimbursed
- 30 minute visit: expect 70-95% of $250 charge reimbursed

Payments are due at the time of each visit. Cancellations should always be made at least 48 business hours (or 2 business days) prior to an appointment time. Business hours are considered weekdays and exclude holidays. Cancellations made less than 48 hours ahead of time and no shows are charged the full session fee. All appointments are sent text reminders that must be confirmed 24 hours in advance.
Email is not a confidential means of communication. If you need to communicate with our office for routine matters it is best to call 310-895-2541. If you have other concerns, our office has a licensed medical assistant (MA) to help you. This policy is in keeping with HIPAA laws and your confidentiality. Our electronic medical records and payment software will send email appointment reminders and receipts and will not include any sensitive medical data.
Treatment records are kept in accordance with legal and professional standards. At Psychiatry Unplugged we use electronic records that sends email reminders and allows you to register through a patient centered portal. This system is HIPPA compliant and user friendly. If medical records need to be sent on your behalf, please complete a Medical Release of Consent. This important form maintains your confidentiality. You will be in charge of who receives your medical information. We will always keep your records private. Medical records starting at $20.
We will always strive to ensure your information is kept confidential and compliant with HIPPA regulations. That means generally information is released with written permission.
There are exceptions:
- Insurance companies are 3rd party HIPAA covered entities but will need information if you are seeking reimbursement.
- 3rd party HIPPA compliant Electronic Health Records. We use Practice Fusion.
- Laws that require health providers to take rare action for safety or threat of harm, protective actions, reporting abuse, court ordered subpoenas or medical emergencies.
