Soroya Bacchus, M.D.
Soroya Bacchus, M.D., has been practicing psychiatry since 1995. She earned her undergraduate degree at the University of California, Irvine, where she majored in biological sciences. She then received her medical degree from Howard University College of Medicine in Washington D.C. and started her psychiatry residency at Martin Luther King Jr. Drew Medical Center in Los Angeles, California.
Dr. Bacchus later pursued post-doctoral training at the UCLA Neuropsychiatry Institute, where she completed her psychiatry residency and a geriatric psychiatry fellowship. She is board certified in:
- Geriatric Psychiatry
- Consultation Liaison Psychiatry
- Addiction Medicine
Dr. Bacchus is also certified in buprenorphine treatment.

Nicole Oquindo (PMHNP-BC)
Nicole is a Board Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC). She earned her Associates Degree in Nursing in 2008 from College of the Canyons, her Bachelors of Science in Nursing degree in 2011 from National College, and her Masters of Science in Nursing degree from California State University Long Beach in 2020.
Over the span of 12 years, she gained experience as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the field of psychiatry in both inpatient and outpatient settings, with clients throughout the lifespan. Nicole’s past experience includes employment as a RN on an acute locked inpatient psychiatric adult unit at Mission Community Hospital and Resnick Neuropsychiatric Hospital at UCLA. Nicole also has experience working as an outpatient RN case manager with Kaiser Permanente’s Child and Adolescent Psychiatric Program.
Along with working as a provider at Psychiatry Unplugged in collaboration with Dr. Bacchus, Nicole also provides care as a PMHNP-BC at a mental health urgent care clinic in the Antelope Valley. She believes in a patient-centered, team-based approach by utilizing psychotherapeutic techniques and psychotropic medications to allow for optimized results. She actively encourages her patients to participate in their care, and helps them to make the best-informed decisions regarding their mental health needs.
