Caroline Graham, PMHNP

Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner

Caroline began her career in nursing as a registered nurse, after earning a Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 2009. During this time, she cared for patients undergoing dialysis treatment. This experience fueled her growing desire to further her studies and training, in order to provide a higher level of care to a broader range of patients.

After earning a Master of Science in Nursing, she embarked on a career as a family nurse practitioner. During those early years, compassion and understanding became trademarks of the care she provides. While practicing as a family nurse practitioner, Caroline saw firsthand the need for quality mental healthcare. This knowledge and a desire to provide more comprehensive care to patients by addressing mental health concerns, informed her decision to pursue and earn a psychiatric/mental health nurse practitioner certification.

Much of her work has focused on the treatment of alcohol and opioid use disorders and related issues. Caroline specializes in diagnosing and developing appropriate treatment plans for co-occurring disorders. She has experience working in a variety of environments including telemedicine, outpatient clinics, and inpatient addiction treatment centers. This has allowed her to treat patients at different points in their journey and has provided unique insights into the various stages of treatment.

Caroline is versed in psychotherapies such as cognitive behavioral therapy and dialectical behavioral therapy. She is committed to providing evidence based treatments where patients have the opportunity for holistic and patient-centered care. She understands that each case is different and the importance of developing a specific individualized treatment plan.
