Cherie N. Fowler, LCSW
Licensed Social Worker
Hello, My name is Cherie Fowler and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the state of CA. I have worked in the mental health field for 10 years and am passionate about working with adults with a history of trauma, grief and loss, and or having challenges dealing with life transitions (ending relationships, new career, grief, etc.).
My approach to therapy is relatable, authentic, and passionate about helping others heal and become their best self. I believe people come to therapy not only to feel seen and heard but to ultimately grow. With that in mind, I feel it necessary to also hold clients accountable to their own process of change, treatment goals, and healing journey by asking thought-provoking, self-assessing, and at times challenging questions. This goal is often achieved through laughter, tough discussions, and respect. My communication style is relatable, empathetic, collaborative, sense of humor, creative, and assertive. I believe a dose of laughter mixed with empathy and assertiveness often makes for a great session and creates great growing and insightful learning opportunities for clients.
